As the name suggests, October is an EP of 5 songs I wrote and recorded in October of 2018.

I, like many musicians, have a perfectionism problem. I have no clue how many gigabytes of music I've recorded over the years and never released because it wasn't "just right." This attitude has been SUPER detrimental to my growth as an artist and my satisfaction with what I write.

October was an experiment in several respects. I played around with new sounds and styles. But more importantly, I pushed myself to write without agonizing over tiny details needing to be "flawless."

Fortunately, I'm still really happy with the results! I hope you too find something you enjoy in these songs. I also hope you remember that, whatever you do, it doesn't have to be absolutely perfect! You have something wonderful to contribute to the world.

Insecurities can go a long way in keeping us from doing the things we love and helping those around us as well. Even if your voice cracks, even if you miss a few days to depression naps, even if you use way too many commas in everything you write (this has become a callout post for myself), I encourage you to push past those insecurities and share what you have to say with the world! What matters is that we're all learning, growing, and trying to make life better for others when and where we can.

Anyways thanks for reading my rant! It WILL happen again.
